So Buxton hosted the Fourth round of the Open Drift Championship on the 25th and 26th June and what an excellent turn out of cars there were even though the weather was against us all weekend. Don’t think I have ever seen rain come down sideways before.
Once the Saturdays drifting was over at around 7pm and everyone had dried off the bar was opened and the party atmosphere began. Some people brought BBQ’s with them and others ordered a take away in.
Sunday was a great success with all the passenger rides going very well with a big thanks to Mike Gaynor, Rich Baker and Matt Guttman for all their help.
One good thing about the terrible weather is that not many tyres were used so there was plenty of track time for all. We have some tyres left from the last even but if you can get some for yourself for next time that would be great.
We are holding the event again next month on Saturday 23rd July from 1pm till 7pm.
