Drift One Drift Circuit – Buxton Raceway, Derbyshire
Buxton Raceway
Location:
Buxton Raceway, formerly known as “High Edge Raceway is primarily a stockcar racing track. Drift One started using it for drifting in 2009. The figure of 8 shape lends itself easily to a kidney shaped track which we use either direction and with the kidney cut in on either side. The track is set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District just 3 miles from Buxton Town Centre just off the Buxton to Leek road, the track is signposted on racedays and we have a huge car park. Trackside parking is also available.
From Leek: Follow the A53 from Leek Town Centre, turn right at ‘Dalehead Road’ which is signposted on racedays
From Buxton and the A6: If you are coming from Stockport or Derby areas on the A6 then when in Buxton town centre follow signs for ‘Leek A53′, you will go through a set of traffic lights and then up a long hill which bears to the left, at the top turn left into ‘Dalehead Road’ signposted on racedays.
The track is about 1 mile on the left, on Dalehead Road, we now have a postcode for sat nav use: SK17 0RR
The spectator car park is free, we have trackside parking of which a limited number of spaces are available, please arrive early to take advantage of this – extra charge applies.
Within easy access from the track spectator areas, there is a track shop and hot food outlet.
“Drift Your own car at Buxton is £10 for entry and £10 each for anyone who wants to go on track either as a driver or passenger.”
If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch and we will be delighted to help you.
