Twin Drift Battles
Come and watch as some of the best drivers around fight it out in this drifting shootout for the coveted first prize.

One Sunday evening a month we host the Buxton Twin Drift Battles, from 3pm until around 5pm. This is fiercely competitive driving, you can watch in safety from literally feet away from the action as the drivers try their hardest to get the coveted first prize.
Each of the 16 or so drivers has a qualifying run on his own, when these are done we pair them up according to the qualifying points and send them out together. Watch as they scream around the arena with tyres smoking, the driver behind desperate to stay close without hitting the leader, always praying for a gap to make a clean overtake. Then they swap and the leader must follow. Gradually the field is narrowed from 16 to 8, then 4,2 and finally 1, the winner! You can even buy an air horn to blow in support of your favourite driver!
The event is suitable for all the family, under 12s get in free, adults are £15 each. There is a bar on site selling tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The competition starts at 3pm, but you’re welcome to watch practice from 1pm
Buxton Raceway is high in the Derbyshire peaks, down a narrow lane off the A53 Buxton – Leek road about 3 miles from Buxton, signposted ‘Dalehead’. Follow this lane for about a mile until the road forks, take the left fork and the track is on the left. The postcode is SK17 0RR. To view the dates available please click here.
Here is a short film of some of the action from the last event.
